Analysis of the Key Copyright Issues before WIPO

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) meets next week (18-25 May 2026) to discuss copyright reforms, including the rights of broadcasters, the need to harmonise copyright exceptions for libraries & archives, education & research, and for people with disabilities, and also copyright in the digital age, including issues raised by artificial intelligence and the moral and material rights of creators. These important discussions will take place at the 48th Session of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).
